King George V was the King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions from 6 May 1910 until his death in 1936. He was the first British monarch of the House of Windsor.

George was born in Marlborough House in London on 3 June 1865. He was the second son of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII), and Princess Alexandra of Denmark. He was named George Frederick Ernest Albert.
