Juan Carlos Sauceda, better known to his fans as Lefty SM, was shot and killed in his hometown of Zapopan, Jalisco, at the young age of 31. This devastating news was confirmed by his record label, Alzada Records, who expressed their deepest condolences to his grieving family.

Lefty SM’s journey began in the border city of San Luis Río Colorado, Mexico, where he was born on April 22, 1992. Raised in a family deeply involved in auto repair, he developed an early passion for rap music. Friends affectionately gave him the moniker “Lefty” because he was left-handed. While he pursued his dreams in music, he continued to work as a mechanic.

The rapper’s rise to fame was nothing short of remarkable. In 2017, he launched his YouTube channel, which quickly garnered a massive following of 2.5 million fans. Lefty SM was shot twice and rushed to a local hospital, but despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at approximately 1:15 a.m.
