Aparna P. Nair (born 1989) is an Indian actress who appears in Malayalam films. She made her debut in the 2011 film, “Ithu Nammude Katha”, directed by Sethu. She has since appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including “Ee Adutha Kaalathu” (2012), “5 Sundarikal” (2013), “Oru Indian Pranayakatha” (2013), “Bangalore Days” (2014), “Premam” (2015), “Maheshinte Prathikaaram” (2016), “Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum” (2017), “Koode” (2018), “Virus” (2019), and “Trance” (2020).

Nair was born in Thrissur, Kerala, India. She completed her schooling at St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School, Thrissur, and graduated from Sree Kerala Varma College, Thrissur, with a degree in English literature.

Nair made her acting debut in the 2011 film, “Ithu Nammude Katha”, directed by Sethu. She played the role of a young woman who is in love with a man from a different caste. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Nair’s performance was praised.

Nair has since appeared in several critically acclaimed films, including “Ee Adutha Kaalathu” (2012), “5 Sundarikal” (2013), “Oru Indian Pranayakatha” (2013), “Bangalore Days” (2014), “Premam” (2015), “Maheshinte Prathikaaram” (2016), “Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum” (2017), “Koode” (2018), “Virus” (2019), and “Trance” (2020).

Nair has won several awards for her performances, including the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her role in “Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum” (2017). She was also nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Malayalam for her roles in “Bangalore Days” (2014) and “Premam” (2015).

Nair is one of the most popular and acclaimed actresses in Malayalam cinema. She is known for her natural acting style and her ability to portray a wide range of emotions. She is also a talented dancer and singer.

In addition to her acting career, Nair is also a social activist. She is involved in several charitable organizations and is a strong advocate for women’s rights.

She was found hanging in her room at the home close to Karamana in Thiruvananthapuram.

She died by suicide on 31 August 2023.
